1. What are the dangers of MDF cabinet doors?

1. MDF is a synthetic board made by mixing wood powder, sawdust, and adhesives containing formaldehyde and benzene. It has poor environmental performance and can adversely affect the health of occupants.

2. MDF fibers are quite fragile and the internal structure is loose, resulting in poor holding power for screws which can easily become loose after tightening. It has poor moisture resistance, swells when in contact with water, and is prone to deformation. The strength is not very high. Generally, when using MDF to make wardrobe cabinet doors, the height should not be too high, generally not exceeding 2.1m.

2. What are the advantages of MDF?

1. MDF is very easy to coat and finish. All kinds of paint and coating can be evenly applied to MDF, making it the preferred base material for paint effects.

2. MDF is also an attractive decorative board.

3. Various wood veneers, printed papers, PVC, adhesive films, melamine impregnated paper, and light metal plates can all be applied to the surface of MDF.

5. Excellent physical properties and uniform material without dehydration issues.

MDF usage precautions

3. What are the precautions for using MDF?

1. Always keep MDF dry and clean. Do not wash with large amounts of water. Avoid prolonged localized soaking of the MDF. If there are oil stains or dirt on the MDF, clean them promptly. You can use mild household neutral cleaner with warm water for treatment. It is best to use the matching MDF cleaning and protective solution. Do not use alkaline water, soap, or other corrosive liquids on the surface of the MDF. Also, do not touch the MDF surface with gasoline or other flammable items or high-temperature liquids.

2. It is recommended to place a doormat at the entrance to prevent dust from entering and damaging the MDF; heavy objects should be placed steadily; when moving furniture, do not drag it. Lift it instead.

3. Use household cleaners to clean stains and grease on the MDF surface. Do not use large amounts of water to clean the MDF. If there are stains on the MDF surface, generally wipe dry with a damp mop that does not drip water. If contaminated with chocolate, grease, juice, or beverages, just wipe with warm water and neutral cleaner. If stained with lipstick, crayons, or ink, wipe gently with methanol or acetone.

4. In winter, pay attention to increasing the surface humidity of the MDF. Use a damp mop to mop the floor and appropriately increase the surface humidity, which can effectively solve the problem of gaps and cracking in the MDF. If cracking occurs in some areas, promptly notify the sales unit for local repair. After repair, appropriately increase the surface humidity to help the MDF recover.

5. Avoid prolonged direct exposure to strong sunlight and high-temperature artificial light sources to prevent premature cracking and aging of the MDF surface. During the rainy season, close the windows to prevent rain from wetting the MDF. Also pay attention to indoor ventilation to dissipate indoor moisture. Maintaining normal indoor temperature also helps prolong the lifespan of the MDF.
