How to avoid pitfalls in the carpentry phase? Joists, drywall, OSB, and ventilation all need to be confirmed in advance
The carpentry phase involves ceiling, base layer, joists, drywall, OSB, adhesive, and load-bearing structure, affecting both environmental safety and future cracking, deformation, and safety.

Carpentry is not just about whether it can be done
Ceiling, base layer, cabinet backing, and on-site woodwork are difficult to inspect once enclosed. Material sources, joist thickness, drywall brand, joint technique, adhesive amount, and ventilation conditions all need to be confirmed in advance.
Check OSB and base material grades and their intended uses
OSB, drywall, and lightweight steel joists each have their own suitable applications. Don't lump all panels together, and don't replace testing documents, construction photos, and contract agreements with verbal "eco-friendly" claims.
Coordination with allvs customization
If allvs whole-home customization will be installed later, the carpentry phase needs to confirm wall load-bearing capacity, ceiling height, door-wall-cabinet relationships, maintenance access points, and reserved dimensions in advance to avoid on-site base layer restrictions affecting cabinet installation.
